Why LunAria?

I created the name LunAria from the Italian words “luna”, meaning moon, and “aria”, meaning song. My favourite aria to hear and perform is the hauntingly beautiful “Song to the Moon” from Dvorak’s opera, Rusalka. LunaAria says a lot about who I am and what I do. Not only does it suggest my favourite aria and my career in music but most of my jewlery and stamping creations are born by moonlight after I get home from evening opera rehearsals or a night of teaching. I often create into the wee hours of the morning with my tolerant and supportive boyfriend sleeping nearby.
